Acer platanoides 'Curly Lamppost'Crazy MapleSorry! No longer available.
These seed-grown trees are extremely unusual looking -- visualize a severely thin, tall column
with
crinkled foliage wrapped around it.
They are probably a mutant hybrid of a norway maple and
a columnar sugar maple (Acer saccharum 'Monumentale').
To our knowledge, we are currently the only source of these trees. We have only a few trees left, available only for local pickup. (Sorry, no exceptions.) These trees are 12+ years old and range in height from 3.5 to 5.5 feet. They grow anywhere from 1 to 12 inches per year, and are hardy to Zone 4. Individually priced, $175.00 and up.
