Mirabilis jalapa
Four O'Clock, Marvel of Peru
This colorful annual has trumpet-shaped, sweetly scented flowers in bright colors
(yellow, pink, white)
that open in the late afternoon.
Our strain also has attractive "broken" (striped or dotted) colors shown in the lower photo.
The 3-foot bush blooms throughout the summer and early fall.
Mirabilis jalapa is an easy plant to grow -- it tolerates both sun and shade,
and reseeds easily.
Our plants were grown from seed collected by Gulgun Selamoglu in Kas, Turkey.
